Original Specs for a 95 FTO GPX

Post by HEX093 »

Hey everyone,

I've searched a little bit, but been unable to find the original specifications for my new FTO GPX.. I can tell the wheels have been modified and that it's been lowered. I know the rally struts and the stereo are new.. But what should it have as standard? The guy I bought it from explained that there is a limiter on the engine so that the mivec wont kick in until its warm so I cant blow it... Is that something I need to tell my insurance people about?

What else should I check? What are the original specs?
Air conditioner
full electrics
AirBags?
ABS?
(or a link to find this listed somewhere else)

Does anyone know if its simple to put on different repeaters? I think a few cars I've seen online have used ford focus repeaters.. Do they just fit over the spot where the other ones were?

And since I've already asked so many questions.. one more.. I know there are a lot of threads about insurance (which I found very helpful, thankx guys).. I have a choice between 'Unique' and 'Famous' there isn't a lot of price difference.. anyone have a preference? The people at Famous were nice, and offered to match another price I had.. and the Unique people were rude and asked me to prove all this stuff, but are a bit cheaper.

Well all you have to tell your insurance company are the following

1. Engine mod if any, i'm sure the previous own can tell you that. (You don't need to tell them about the standard feature like the Mivec limiter)

2. Wheels & suspension mod, which you got, so you need to know the size of the wheels & how much it had been lowered. Also the estimate value of them.

3. Value of the stereo, just estimate on that too.

4. Any external mod like bodykits or GT wings....etc

Thanks :-)

I might get him to make a complete list of things he has done.. probably a good idea anyway not just for insurance..

I wish I knew enough to be able to look and see for myself!
