Thanks guys! I'm surprised that the glue actually worked that well...I've 'stress tested' the areas and they're acturally REALLY strong, so I'm feeling pretty safe for now. I plan on taking the bumper off and properly repairing the bottom lip, so that'd involve sanding back, fiber-glassing and re-painting.

I can see that the bottom lip detaches from the upper half of the VS bumper, but does anybody know how or where the joins are located other than the pins on either side? There's gotta be something in the middle, but it's difficult to pinpoint!

Okay, so I have all the parts I need now!

Starting everything next wednesday, and providing all goes well, I'll have a pretty sweet looking car! A week on the isolated Kangaroo Island should prove to do some good 8)

STAGE ONE IS COMPLETE.

I present to you... The first portion of my October improvements 8)

PART I: THE ROOF RUST

- Used angle grinder to remove as much rust as possible
- sanded back all rust until only bare metal remained
- Treated metal to reduce chances of future rust issues
- Filled with bog, sanded flat and primed

Decent work. But that rust is eventually going to pop up again.

Maybe in about 12 months ... Only way to get rid of it, is to cut it out... And weld in plates... But it is like cancer... It can spread really quickly ...
I just had to add it ......

Best way to prevent rust again is getting rid of the roof liner glue.
