So it's been t minus 1 hour since I crashed my fto. Devastation has yet to set in, tears are brimming.
Is there anyone in melbourne region (preferable SE suburbs) that I can go to? or anyone who can deal with a F**KED front end. visually she looks fine, steering is gone wheels are right back in the arches and im hoping beyond hope that its not a write off
any help, ideas, thoughts and if it is a write off...funeral plans?
wet roads -.- took the turn into my street too fast (typical p-plater d-baggery) skidded head on into the curb
Im completely fine. shocky and sad but fine
By how you describe where the wheels are.. It doesn't sound good..
I just had to add it ......

I talk a lot of sh*t, usually have to keep a roll of toilet paper handy in the car for my mouth

Has it taken out the sump, clipped the tow point or A/C compressor. If any of those are gone, prognosis is not good. Clopping the tow point will bend the chassis (ive bought a couple that this has happened to). Sump / A/C compressor will screw the engine. With the wheels pushed back, youll need to replace all the lower suspension and it may have bent the chassis. The one that this happened to at the bonfire 18 months ago was repaired by replacing the lower control arm and the tie rod end, but youd have to be lucky.
Engine runs fine, gears and clutch feel ok literally just steering and wheels kaput, waiting on the tow now
panels are fine but ive not given it too close of a look just yet
tow point not damaged (from the looks and used it last night to get it out of the way)
will keep you guys up to date with what my mechanic says

this is the side with the damage, im no mechanic (not even close) but looks like support arm(??? or something) has dropped completely
Looks like the rest of the undercarriage was untouched, so it'll be limited to anything connected to the FL corner.
It does look like that lower arm is just hanging there, I'll let the real grease monkeys comment.
