I probably cop sh*t for asking this, but i was searching for something in the forum, & i remember it was either posted 2002 or 2003, but all i found mostly are 2004 & late 2003 post now, maybe i'm doing something wrong......

You'll never cop sh*t for doing a search 
From what I can see the messages only go back to April 2003.
From memory I think a lot of messages were lost after one of the server crashes or hack attempts. If I'm not mistaken, Steve also archived a number of message not too long back.

only the for sale forums are being pruned as anything listed over 6 months is probably no longer for sale or if not sold probably isn't worth buying
