Do you want a DC rear apron? I've got one sitting in the garage.

Hah, not quite. That being said, I haven't opened the boot yet... Could be an xbox hiding in there.
PHIL069 wrote:If it was my FTO I would wait a few weeks before washing it, just to let the new paint settle and harden properly
I asked about this and was told it would be fine? Although I just googled that question and got a number of results. :? Now I'm thoroughly confused. Way too many differing opinions on what is and isn't safe for the best results.. is the problem with the application of pressure to the paint? Movement? Or is it the ingredients of the washing liquid? Or both?

C'mon, you've still got the apron and the bonnet going for you. as said, I don't really have the money anyway. Or won't for like maybe a month.

Nah, they look alright, but I never liked how the lip of it sat on the bumper. And aforementioned money shiz.

You will find that it is easily scratched, even by large dust on the sponge, as it is still a bit soft. You shouldn't polish it yet either as the paint will still be expelling/breathing.
You can do as you please, I waited 3 weeks, wish I had waited 3 months.

Hmmmm. I will heed your advice. It would be safe to wash the rest of the car, and just gently spray the bar/fenders, yeah?

I... may or may have not gotten a little carried away last night... you know you've been up a little too late when you're not in bed yet, and the morning birds are already chirping. Nonetheless, here's over a dozen shots from the wee hours of this morning. Found some good spots among a place you may recognise, that I hadn't picked before.

Can you do a test for me?

Can you do a really fast turn around in say a culdesac and tell me if it scrubs on the front, try to full lock it.

Also can you go on a bumpy road and smash it and see if you can get it to scrub.

Also could you please take a picture of the front wheel arch seam..

I got it from New Gel in Canberra, Jamzo. Mention the club for a discount. I think mine was $643 shipped to Adelaide.

It's definitely scrubbing on something. I think it's hitting the fender edge on the front over hard corners and bumps. Or if I'm full-locking it and turning a little too quick. May also be scrubbing on the back of the arch I think, saw a patch there. Will try to take some pics tomorrow.

Wow. Just wow. It looks amazing man!

+1 on the side skirts, they'll make that bar look so much better.

So much scrub you'd think my fenders were having a bath. Flatter corners are alright, but dips or bumps and it's kinda painful, haha. Left side is worse than the right. Coilovers are tempting. Still need to chase up insurance though, sigh.

Tim reckoned the spring rates might be enough. But a little more height might help as well, and a bit of camber.

F*#k all this talk about spring rates, its all BS nonsense. Standard BC's have enough flexibility be nice and soft for the street and rock hard for track. The preset spring rates are perfect for the FTO.
If you get softer spring rates your defeating the purpose of coilovers, you may as well go get some big king springs and chop them to size like a commofag.

Relax, he's just in to making his e-peen bigger.
First wheels, then tyres, now spring rates.
Next thing will be sway bars, then urethane bushes and so on.

Can only hope :salut: It'd mean he'd be distracted by that while Kiz sells his extractors and I walk away a winner.
