smorison taken my money and run?
Hey man! Whats up? I'm happy I got my CAI kit, but you havn't given me even a slight indication on whats been going on with the titanium strut brace.
Last I heard, it wasn't even close, and I've tried pm'in you 3 times about it.
Whats going on? I could really use that money back rite about now, and it's way overdue.
You could've at least pm'd me back or something!!

I thought he said that about some part of the CAI kit, but I could be wrong.fto617 wrote:didnt smorison said they couldnt find another supplier as it was hard to find a cheap supplier to do a small run?
Eitherway, surely, he could send my money back, it's been like 4 months (maybe more), and I have tried contacting him numerous times via private messages to no avail.

IMO, I think the FTO Shop is a decent idea, and some of the products and group buys are well worth it. however there are problems with it, and i'm saying this because I to want to improve the FTO Shop and the club.
I believe the roles for the fto shop should be split, Steve can't do everything at once, so i really think that steve should be responsible for things like development of new products, and someone else should take care of the actual ppl purchasing stuff.
For example. I ordered a simple item such as a club sticker. I basically payed the same day. I got the sticker 3 weeks later, after asking Steve about it twice. Now i felt that experiance wasn't very nice, simply for the fact that Steve was to busy to put a sticker in an envelope.
Another thing that I could suggest is for actual products such as the CAI, only allow purchasing if they are actually available (ie sitting in storage ), and if they are not then simply put ppl on a waiting list. Don't get me wrong CAI was a good idea and provided great improvments, but i feel like it wasn't though of very carefully in the beggining, as highlighted in some of the peoples troubles with it.
Another very very important thing is to keep people updated. like even if it's a negative update, we still wanna know what the hell is happening with a group buy or our order or something else... and that's why i'm suggesting for possible seperation of some of there roles, cos like Steve aint Super Man...
I don't want to harm anyone or anything, i just want this to be a better website/club/shop... I hope some of my critisism will go on board.

If I'm not mistaken the FTO Shop is not owned or run by the "club" rather it is something Steve offers to help people gain access to products at a price cheaper than what they could get importing it themselves.
In simple terms, just think of the FTO Shop as a group buy organised by Steve.
If you've got an issue, Steve is only a phone-call away. Personally though, I've always found him to be honest in all the dealings I've done with him.

i actually find the title to this thread offensive.
I think steve has done a wonderful job with this forum and considering the amount of time and money that is required when you research and get a new product made. The FTO community should be very gratefull that he is willing to put in the time to pursue these products for the benefit of FTO owners.
If you want something quickly maybe you should design it and then have it fabricated yourselfs, or pay the extra and import it yourself. then you might realise what is involved. I have seen people comment how cheaply they have done things and i have made similar comments myself. But if you had to pay the going rate for hours of work put in, the cost would be considerable. would you pay $100 for a shinny bracket to hold your fuel regulator. It took me over 2 hours to make one to hold mine. If you went to a workshop or engineering firm you would be paying at least $50 an hour probably more. When making multiple items the time to make each one comes down, but finding someone to do small runs at a reasonable price can be difficult.
If someone was to make multiple items and then hold on to them while waiting for people to purchase, then he should also be able to charge a bit more than they cost to cover the capital that is tied up in those parts. I believe it would be unfair If someone is getting multiple items made so members can get them at a considerably reduced price and is expected to pay for them himself. Members should put there money up and expect to wait while it is organised and produced or expect to pay a lot more for them.
Shame on some of you people

Steve has been working some incredibly long hours at the moment, however, I have put in a call to him to give him the right of reply.
He may not always be the quickest..... as he does too much at times, however - there is not a problem with his honesty.
As I have said before, if anyone has trouble contacting Steve - there is always
1- The State Coordinator (in your state)
2- The Club Secretary (me) Tanya - ftoaustralia@iprimus.com.au/ 0414 770 346 (however may not answer during working hours)
3- The Club Vice President -Robert/Kaveman bert.kaveman@ozonline.com.au
We can generally always get hold of Steve in an emergency.
With 1500+ club members to look after - plus an extremely busy job.... you do the math.

Look, I wanted to put the post out there, because I know Steve has been on the boards, after my PM's, and has ignored them.
More so, I actually purchased the FULL CAI Kit and Strut bra, at they're regular prices, because I didn't have my FTO at the time, and missed out on any specials of the group buy. So in essences, I paid the normal price. More so however, I wanted to order the two together, so they could be shipped together.
Obviously not, but thats not what irks me, what irks me, is that his been online and posted messages on the board, but completly ignored my pm's! That to me, is the biggest disrespect, not even that he hasn't bothered to keep me posted about the item, or anything even remotely similar, just to say, "we never really had a strut bra" no, the fact that his come online, posted messages on the boards, but ignored my pm's, is what irks me.

I agree with Dannyboy, none of you guys realise the time and effort these guys put into the club, and im sure they have all taken great offence to that topic, I know that they would not delete this thread because they all agree to freedom of speech, but I think Guni_GuGu you should change that topic to something more appropriate and appoligise

Look, Like I said in my first post, I apprecaite the club and any group buys, we get.. I honestly and really do, but I stumbled into some problems with money over the last few weeks, and really needed to scratch up, all my spare cash, that i've lent out, or been without for.
I'd tried to contact Steve multiple time, and if you bothered to read my last post, you'd be aware of what had irked me.
But ask yourself, if I hadn't if posted this topic, where and when do you think i'd ever get my strut brace or money back??
And be honest with yourself... and then you have your answer. I'm sorry, but I needed attention rather urgently as well, and i tried pm'in to no avail. I was left outta luck, and had to do something. It seems only now, am I getting any sort of result back.
I don't mean to be mean, because I really do apprecaite the club, it was a big reason, why I spent 6months shopping for ONE GODDAMN FTO!!!! but try for a second to understand and see things from my perspective, and be realistic.

What do you find offensive? , Steve has responded to you and started sending the money back, so its obvious he hasnt "taken your money and run". I was merly asking you to change that quite incorrect subject
I understand your finiancial situation ,and i understand you need/want your money after such a long time, but did you once think:
a) you are not the only member/customer of this club
b) The Moderators of this site work more then full time work and moderate in there spare time
c) And this is a big point, Did you ever consider what a line like "smorision takes my money and run" could do to the club. New members and possible customers would see this topic and may think twice before going in a group buy or purchasing anything from the shop all of which goes back into the club
so if you really appreicate the club you would lead such a blaitent attack on it

Ok guys enough, Steve is aware of problem and will sort it out! Gav is correct just be careful of what you actually write as a subject heading as you can damage the clubs image...
But please remember that we [moderators] are here to help if you do have a problems you can contact anyone of us regardless of who you really need to talk to. Steve puts a great deal of time and effort and money out of his own pocket into this club and will be unavailable from time to time thats why we have co-ordinators for every state. One of us will always be contactable.
END OF THIS TOPIC!!!
Cheers,

Sounds like a lot of professional sport these days. Say something the hierarchy doesn't like and you'll be fined for brining the sport into disrepute.Robb wrote:Gav is correct just be careful of what you actually write as a subject heading as you can damage the clubs image...
