Wirr these seats fit?

Post by FTored »

A friend of mine has these seats on his crx.

And i was thinking of bying them for him. In almost the half price of new ones. They are in top condition.. But will they fit the FTO.? Anyone has anything similar on his car.. I want them to recline normaly. Will i need guides? The guides on the crx will they fit on my car? Do i have just to drill and screw the guides from the crx on my car and it will be fine?? thanks in advance!

my guess would be that the seats will fit ... you may need different mounting brackets to get them to fit properly....

as seats keep you safe in your car during an accident ... improperly fitted seats could cost you your life so get it done by a professional.

Just a word of warning, there are some copies of Recaro seats out there.

These may not have passed standards testing.

Try looking for a sticker like so:

If there are the real deal, you can get guides for them. If you're from Sydney, you should pay Roman Autotek a visit. Half price is not a bad deal at all.

thanks for the replys guys. I will check if they are genuine. I am from cyprus though so it woud be a litle difficult to visit that place.:).. So recaros have official guides that fit in an FTO? I though that only Bride made them and they were very expensive. Any other ones i can use? Wouldn't they fit from a lancer or something. Sorry about the not so good use of english. I try my best.

When I last asked (over a year ago), I was told they don't have official guides, but they can use a guide that is close enough and modify it to fit an FTO. Best you speak to you nearest Recaro supplier/distributor. They should be able to help you out. And it also helps if you bring your car along, so the fitter will be able to see what modifications need to be made to fit your car.

Sorry I can't help you with any contacts in Cyprus! :)
