DIY: Changing lower engine mounts

Bursons may not have them, the shop i get them from is Walker Auto One in ipswich QLD. quite a specialty shop IMO because they have listing for everything FTO. The mounts are made by a company called Transgold, no number sorry. (they probably have numbers but the shop didn't know them, they just had it as a listing for rear/front mounts for FTO ).

Damn. So are they just the stock standard mounts? Why not go poly urethane or something, won't they last longer?
If I send u cash could u get me them haha??

Poly bushes are gonna make your current vibrations feel like foot massages and are totally unnecessary for your car, they are required if your running ben's kind of power because the torque from his engine wrecks normal rubber mounts. A waste of money and inpractical IMHO for your car. And yes they're just stock rubber mounts. What we need is these ralliart mounts but they're not being made anymore so we'll just have to get by.

Also if you do solid mounts you'll have to do it all round, not just 1 or 2.

Ok I hear ya, yeah well I want to do all four is that how many there is? Two at the bottom crossmember and two on top on either side of the bay..

The bottom 2 are solid, the left and right are not solid.....for a manual MIVEC.

OMG, the manual fto has solid bottom mounts as stock
the auto hasn't got solid ones

solid but softer compound rubber than polyurethane

Up to 1997 FTO Manual + all come in their mounts
MR197540 Front Engine mount for FTO V6
MB949166 or MB691237 Rear Engine mount for FTO V6
MR197614 Upper gearbox mount LH

Can't find RH side Upper engine mount and haven't look @ Amamamamamamamamamaayaaa yet

Amayama wants $38 for postage, so $145 total just for the bottom two Seem reasonable enough or can we do better?

I have just called my local Autopro to get some prices, they will call me back during the week and I will let you guys know the outcome.

The ralliart mounts are heaps better than the standard items. My idle is totally smooth now, shifts better and no more juddering under load.

Jive me the measurements of the f/r mounts and I'll see if I can find anything.

Both can be had for $50.00 each, but the rear mount seems to be not solid, but its for an manual evo.

Not sure about the size so check up first.
