hey guys any of yous installed it yourself?
or did you get a professional to do it?
and if so how much does it cost? some place told me 80AU
it seems really hard for me to install it myself as i couldnt actually understand the instructions in the KMC website
now i feel so stupid
i just got slip on dials and they were very easy to install, basically you just cut a line i nthe old ones and remove them, and slip the new ones over the needles.
which part do you find difficult ? Pulling apart the dash, installing the dials or the wiring side of it ?
I put EL dials on my Lancer dash.
I didn't cut the old dials out... I just slipped the new ones over the top (after taking little screws off the dials and then screwing the new ones over the old ones)
As for wiring it is dead simple.
1. Connect all the little connectors to eachother (from control box to the actual dials)
2. Drill the "ground" wire into your chassis
3. Find a +ive feed for the +ive wire. It can be from ignition so they go on once you put the key in, or from your dial +ive so only when lights are on
hey guys...i read the instructions from KMC and i got stuck by the time the word inverter came up
man i should have learned my electronics but i didnt...
so anyone can help me ?
i can do it up to the stage of sliping the rv dials on top of the old dials lol
somebody please tell me where do i hide the black box????
the smash repair guys said they'll cut a bit of my dash so it hides perfectly
but i dont want them to bcut behind my dash

er don't do that...
i've mounted a few behind the centre gauge cluster...
sits in there perfectly and has enough length for the controls and power wires...
oh and another problem is that the needles arent moving
but when u press down on the fto logo it moves, does that mean i need to stick down the indiglo dials onto the original dials??? please advise
those guys said they'll "superglue" it
man....
