i just got slip on dials and they were very easy to install, basically you just cut a line i nthe old ones and remove them, and slip the new ones over the needles.
which part do you find difficult ? Pulling apart the dash, installing the dials or the wiring side of it ?

I put EL dials on my Lancer dash.
I didn't cut the old dials out... I just slipped the new ones over the top (after taking little screws off the dials and then screwing the new ones over the old ones)

As for wiring it is dead simple.
1. Connect all the little connectors to eachother (from control box to the actual dials)
2. Drill the "ground" wire into your chassis
3. Find a +ive feed for the +ive wire. It can be from ignition so they go on once you put the key in, or from your dial +ive so only when lights are on

As the saying goes "If the mountain won't come to Mohammed, Mohammed must go to the mountain."

Rather than waiting for others to respond, why don't you seek out the answer by using the search feature?

I can remember reading some time back a number of posts by people with EL dials, mentioning where they placed the controller.

er don't do that...
i've mounted a few behind the centre gauge cluster...
sits in there perfectly and has enough length for the controls and power wires...

As per the instructions, you're supposed to remove the original dials.
