Re: BJK's '95 GPX
It would likely have to be an all fibreglass job though, wouldn't it? Or at least from what was said before? And it's kind of a shame that I have to get an entire bar just to use two small parts of it. Unless there's one attached to a wreck somewhere.
I think it makes it look a little more modern, and maybe if the mouth was enlarged a little like what HeRo did with his GPvR, it could work quite well.

Don't suppose you've got any closer pics?Doobs wrote:215/40 is the rubber i'm running.
Just trying to decide if I'll go 40 or 45 profile. If I go 45, with a 235 my sidewall is basically the same as stock, but it'll fill out the fender arch a bit more.

Nope its not, way bigger than stock remembering the profile is aspect ratio of width, the 215/40R17 is spot on.
Keep in mind legally can only go 15mm larger in overall diameter from stock....... will explain more when we catch up

Re: BJK's '95 GPX
Hm. But if I'm understanding it correctly, 235 x 45 = 105.75, and 205 x 50 = 102.5. That's only a 3.25mm difference in the height of the tyre sidewall. Rolling diameter is a lot bigger though.

True that. Not having to worry about the speedo would be a plus.
Wonder when these rotors will be ready for pickup!

Yeah, but I bet you cheated. Crumpled them all up so they'd fit and then fixed them once you got to the shop.Sahin wrote:I hauled 8 rims and 8 tires and 2 passengers to the tire shop you wuss!bjk wrote:I don't have the f**king rims yet you arse.Astron_Boy wrote:Just get the f**king tyres already.I don't really want to haul four rims, and four tyres in my car to a shop to get them fitted.

^ What he said. Did you take them in the FTO? If so, I'm mighty impressed.Daniel2019 wrote:Yeah, but bjk is driving his car.Sahin wrote:I hauled 8 rims and 8 tires and 2 passengers to the tire shop you wuss!bjk wrote:I don't have the f**king rims yet you arse.Astron_Boy wrote:Just get the f**king tyres already.I don't really want to haul four rims, and four tyres in my car to a shop to get them fitted.

There's no logical reason to buy the tyres before I have a chance to fit them anyway.

Well you could've made that clearer, I thought they were all separate. Point is moot anyway 'cause I won't be doing it.
