Re: Best console games
already checked ebay, not cheap enough for me.
I know im being impossibly tough but i really cant justify spending more than 150 on a ps3 with my priorities where they are, maybe later i will but for now, my track car comes first.

Re: Best console games
Hmm so ive scoured a few forums and found a revised edition (0.9.9) with some new plugins, r5359. Playing Burnout Dominator seems perfectly stable, 1920x1080, 65fps and no tearing/bugs so i guess ill just have to fiddle around with it so it satisfies me for now

Re: Best console games
Bringing up an old topic...
I have just completed my Home entertainment setup.
I have a 720p pocket projector projecting at 100" onto my screen hook through a power amp splitter that goes between lcd tv and projector.
All going into my video processor which i also have the following consoles connected to: Ps3, Ps2, Xbox360, Xbox, Wii, Gamecube, N64, sega megadrive, (Soon to be ps4
) then all the sound going into my avr.
I have it all connected to a bridge which goes to my router which is using the new ac wan technology.... and a universal remote to work it all.
It's f!#king awesome. I'll post pics haha. 4 player goldeneye on the n64 at 100" with the video processor making it look quite nice considering it was meant for a crt. :p
Oh and the wii is modded with a hdd and plays downloaded games, the ps2 has a hdd loader and plays downloaded games and the N64 has a cartridge which houses an SD card with every game downloaded to it. tehe

Re: Best console games
I have recently finished the new Tomb Raider with 99% complete, need to find 2 moar things.
So I bought "The Last of Us" but I haven't played it yet, hope it's as good as they say it is.
BTW, good stuff on your entertainment system renzkuken. is your pocket projector an "Aiptek" brand?
I have an Aiptek LED pocket projector and a home made screen, it's pretty good for a cheap toy, just not widescreen though.

I just use my 24" HD screen for everything, good for widescreen, good for the forum/facebook and great for porn, plus the occasional Xbox sessionPHIL069 wrote: it's pretty good for a cheap toy, just not widescreen though.
There are two types of people on forums; those that give helpful advice, and the others

Re: Best console games
I have 21" and 24" HD widescreens for my PC, and a 42" LG LCD 3D LED smart TV for the lounge room with a Sony 7.2 home theatre surround sound system pumping out approx 2000W.kiz wrote:I just use my 24" HD screen for everything, good for widescreen, good for the forum/facebook and great for porn, plus the occasional Xbox sessionPHIL069 wrote: it's pretty good for a cheap toy, just not widescreen though.
The projector is just for sometimes when I feel like watching a mahoosive screen, most of the time my son uses it and projects onto his bedroom wall.
Great, is it as good as Tomb Raider?Vectose wrote:I started playing it last week, so far it's an amazing game.PHIL069 wrote:So I bought "The Last of Us" but I haven't played it yet, hope it's as good as they say it is.
Did you finish Tomb Raider and at what completion %?

Re: Best console games
Completed Tomb Raider at 100%.
It's hard to compare to Tomb Raider as they're different types of games.
I personally prefer it over Tomb Raider though.
The feel of the game mechanics is like that of the Uncharted series.

Re: Best console games
Just started playing Test Drive Unlimited 2. MASSIVE map(s) of both Ibiza and Hawaii, pretty much full scale! Gameplay is a bit repetitive, but the car selection, house customization and avatar creation is pretty awesome, which really comes into play if you decide to go online.
