Just opened another 4 rolls in preparation for the boot.
Will use more than that, but I buy in lots of 4, that way I don't buy too many and have rolls I won't use.

A bit more done.
Boot in the FTO is worse than the Magna sedan I did, that's for sure.

I've contemplated doing some interior panels like that, just never found any sound deadener that I like that's cheap enough
There are two types of people on forums; those that give helpful advice, and the others

I was planning on using this ... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321130343578 ... 1423.l2649
Thought it was cheap enough.

As a note to that, the butyl product from Jaycar, at the same quantity would cost you $40 less.XenaP wrote:I was planning on using this ... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321130343578 ... 1423.l2649

Given they're both generic brands, would do the same job...

I'm not saying that's the best to get, but in comparison to the one you linked, it comes up cheaper.XenaP wrote:Thank you

It's always good to have comparisons. I have a bad habit of just assuming I get the best deal on Ebay

Getting old.
I drive around in the Mercedes most of the time, which is whisper quiet, then get in to the loud FTO.
For long drives, I find the FTO tiring, and with the move and longer driving in general, it just makes sense.
Again, it's a lead up to something else, and that's all I'm saying at the moment.

Lawl.
P.S. No, the rear of the car does not have a rust problem, it's the previous owners poor attempt at rust prevention. (almost worked, except in 1 small area.
)
Thank you to the concerned person who PMd me.
