Yeah, never seen one mentioned ever.
Was a never before heard thing for me until I had the Merc.

Nope, no mention of any sort of filter for the cabin. Also checked the diagrams in ASA. No filter.

Re: Lawso's 3rd FTO
Alright.
sh*t all has been happening to this thing for a while, weather and work and what not. But a little bit of progress has happened behind the scenes in the last 2 weeks.
Went up to wine country to work on "The Lawso" to get the engine and box out, as well as anything else that i need for the *ahem* "manual conversion". parts haven't been transported back to mine yet, but should happen sooner rather than later, so I've got a few more things to do.
Booked the engine into the guys at Suzitech for timing belt/water pump and a few other things whilst the engine is out. List of things include tappets, rocker cover seals, rear mail oil seal, cam seals, Spark plug seals, accessory belts, and anything else that is a bit old/sh*t/perished.
Next port of call is to get the engine out of the maroon one, and take all the bits I don't need back to Dwayne.
Still need to test fit those brembos as well. *crosses fingers*
Just for my reference

True
But could we not do something similar to Dwayne's method of bodykit distribution amongst the club?

Re: Lawso's 3rd FTO
You need 2 things to do that:
1. number of people required to make mould for free
2. cost per part
Thenyou need to get that many people interested

It's part 3a (Keep people interested and have them pay)

I digress, this thread is getting more use for spam than the cobwebs gathering on Lawso the 3rd.

Re: Lawso's 3rd FTO
PROGRESS!
So, had a day off yesterday, and the weather was actually decent for once...
So Got cracking with some work.
- Replaced the Auto and Manual gauge clusters around
- Tentatively installed steering wheel
- Stalk cluster (if that's what it is called)
- Drivers seat so i could sit in it and just be happy
- The rest of the auto cables and whatnot out
- Finished un-plugging the loom around the engine bay
- Test fitted my Brembos
- Brakes out both sides
- Hubs out both sides
- Struts out both sides
- Drive shafts out
Also went to supercheap on wednesday and bought a few new goodies
- 2 ton trolly jack for $70
- 12V electric impact wrench $60
- 3 ton jack stands $30
It was a good day. and i learndeded things!!!
1st side to get everything out took 3 hours and 5 beers, other side 5 minutes and 2 beers.
Short of 2 engine mounts, she is ready to come out!!!!
Pics later tonight, have to rush off to work

Nice progress there, That rattle gun however is gonna let you down if your doing anything more than putting tyres on. It has practically no balls.

Yeah, know that. Although, to give it a stupid amount of credit, it did get my castle nuts off the hubs! took it a good 5 minutes, but it did it!vanadinite wrote:Nice progress there, That rattle gun however is gonna let you down if your doing anything more than putting tyres on. they weren't going to come off any other way either. No pedals, no brakes, nothing to hold the rotors still, so breaker bars were out of the question
