Installed Rear Strut Brace, and cleaning out the boot
All together
Now off to work

Isn't the carpet planks meant to sit on top of that metal bar spanning across the rear?

Well, it would make sense as it's extra support for when weighted items are placed back there.
Also, looks less tidy as you can see an exposed piece of "bracing"....

A little more progress today
Moved all the crap to the boot
Was met by this motherfucker. he didn't last too long
Last pic i could get before light went.
Basic cleaning work is almost done. now just have to get rid of the smell of musky cigarettes and a can of mortein...

Got some better photos of the finished clean today
Still some stains and whatnot. will hit those with a rug doctor, and i've heard steam cleaning removes most of the cigarette smell? might give that a go.
Next: pedals, slushbox stick, and the in cab air filter. may as well

EDIT: Just flipped through the workshop manual and there is no mention of it.
