Rocker cover gasket
Can the non-mivec V6 rocker gasket fit on the mivec V6 engine?

Re: Rocker cover gasket
Nope
If you're after the mivec rocker cover seal, part number is MD309002 ( correct me if I'm wrong someone )

Re: Rocker cover gasket
Damn, Super cheap could do a special order for me.
Part number is - VC5610P (aftermarket rocker cover gasket)
Problem is, we don't know which FTO V6 engine it's for.
How reliable is www.amayama.com? are they quick with the orders?
Cheers

Re: Rocker cover gasket
Amayama is pretty good. Once payment is complete it usually takes a week to get the order. (Depending on size of order and how common the parts are to find)

Re: Rocker cover gasket
if you don't mind me asking dstocks, how much did the set cost you?
I tried calling around, but nobody could order or had them in stock (looking for aftermarket).
closest I got was a complete gasket kit for $60. so in total it will cost me $120 since I require 2 rocker gasket.

Re: Rocker cover gasket
thanks dstocks
just an update, got both rocker cover off
engine was dirty as hell
took out both mivec solenoid to test by applying 12V from the car battery.
both front and back solenoid were non-responsive (no audio clicks, no movement at all!)
is there something else im suppose to do? aren't they suppose to respond once 12V is applied?
cheers

Re: Rocker cover gasket
They're $26 each from Amayama + postage. Which shouldn't be much.

Re: Rocker cover gasket
I don't think they process quotes over the weekend, you should receive a reply on Monday or Tuesday. I requested for a quote for other items on Thursday and got the quote on Friday.

Re: Rocker cover gasket
Put the ballpark price up higher in the post, but just realised exchange rate has improved and I havent updated exchange rate in my price guesser (dont get exact price until sent, so have to approximate). If exchange rate stays around $1AUD=100JPY then I should be able to get them landed for between $75 and $80.
