Looking for 2 Federal 595's (225/35/R18). Anyone know the best place to source them for a good price.

Yeah, had found those already and am watching. The price itself is low, but im wondering if once postage and fitting is taken into account, it wouldbe better buying from a tyre shop.

I think it is $21 to fit new tyres + balancing, at Bob jane's, per wheel.
Excludes disposal of old tyres fees though... which is $4 per tire, I think.....

Don't get these ones as they are the RS ones, the RSR's are the ones you want. They cost a little more but are a lot better.yotka wrote:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/225-35-18-FE ... 1140354312 ??
I found that the RS ones go hard fast ( go off ) before you even get half way down into the tread

These are the ones

Prices are good, but you may get a better price if you shop around.
The above like is just an example, there will be other shops closer to home that can do a good price on them.

Just a FYI, some tyre shops on eBay are selling tyres that are about 5 years old.

You can get them from Racing Ready (http://racingready.com.au/v2/).
It's a Canberra dealer and he can arrange to have them fitted and balanced for $10 each.
If you order it through performanceforums.com (or mention you are a member there) you get a slight discount. The guys user name is Coffin

Hmmm and in many cases, rip you off royally as well. In Canberra this is often the case anyway.

Used to get my motorbike tyres from www.tirerack.com
If you are buying the high end tyres, or more than 1 set of 4 tyres, they turn out quite cheap even including postage and fitting costs. You have to email them with your tyre details (brand, size etc) and postal address and they reply you back with the quote and shipping costs.
