Idle problem

Post by MD-Performance »

Dear all !

We have a FTO GPX (mivec) with a problem. The engine will not run idle at cold. When the engine is warmed up he will run about 800 - 900 rpm. Driving with the car is no problem.

When we start the engine at cold the engine runs for a second and revs up to 1500-2000 rpm and then the engine stalls.

We have already changed the stepper motor and later a complete throttle body with also a TPS and stepper motor from a well runned engine.
Also we replaced the engine ecu to hope to solve the problem.

The engine see the idle stand in the ecu. and the TPS is good adjusted.

But still it runs not at cold.

We hope that someone here on this nice forum know what to do or have's any Idea..

Thanks !

Which wire was broken?

I'm having similar issues.

Hi,

I think it was the green wire. But if you take off the plug and take the black hose around the wires off for a few cm than I discover a broken wire.

Good luck !
