My pre-facelift bumper build..

Ok so I fuked it up. Rushed it and didn't pay enough attention. But overall IMO it looks ok/ better then before.
I didn't do enough shaping and I started to sand with a way too rough grit pad that left a few dents if u look closely u can see a couple :/
I nooooo that the paint doesn't match perfectly, 18 year old car has faded abit. what a surprise...
Yes I did fuking drill the holes for the number plate crooked and its on an angle haha
And I no that to some of you the LED's and the blue induction pipe looks stupid to some of you. But obviously I like them both...
I bagged the three nuts and bolts that bolt the bumper to the subframe and fuking lost them!! Completely just gone, which is why I'm unable to align it properly to the bonnet, if anyone has a wreck and wants to donate these three bits to me it would greatly appreciated, cough tazordstocks
The things I had to buy were:
2x septone primer-$15 each
2xseptone clear coat-$15 each
2x 2pac A34 steel silver - $28 each
wire grill mesh-$14 bunnings
I had everything else..

Sahin says bog up the number plate holes and put your number plate on the mesh "floating plate" it'll fill up the big grill

Also u down the bottom instead of the whole strip parkers cut it down and make half of it like an indicator

and first time try.

It didn't turn out too badly.

Take it as a learning curve and a what not to do next time, or how to improve, and you'll have something decent.

My opinion, number plate looks fine where it is.
Never been a fan of plates attached to mesh, looks rushed and wank.

I agree with Astron, it doesn't look too bad, but some of the lines are off and the bottom part being that thin just doesn't look right to me.

I think you've done a a reasonable job, but IMO its too wide at the bottom. Makes it look a bit like a wide mouth frog. Look at a picture of the prefacelift or post facelift TS Factory. It looks better with a steeper gradient. Anyway,great effort for a first attempt.

If the bits you need are what I think they are,they are just plastic screws. You can buy matching equivalents from Repco/Autobahn/Supercheap for about $5 a packet. Failing that, I probably have a few lying around.

Looks different. Not a fan of the really wide front as previously mentioned but each to their own

thanks guys, will probably endup buying an after market one in time anyway because i do want abit of a lip.



i like the idea of good airflow keeping the engine bay cool
off topic, ive seen egreddy engine oil coolers for sale to fit an fto, are they only for highperformance/modded engines or can it be usefull for a stock engine(mine)?

Don't waste your money with a oil cooler on a stock FTO.
