I would say given his description of the waterpump, that is the source of overheating. But I am no Mechanic by a longshot..Taz wrote:Ive popped through an online quote to carways - thanks for the heads up dwayne.
Hopefully get some good news on tuesday.
All other companies ive gotten a quote through have been 920+
Ive Pm'ed ritici, now enquiring how driveable it really is, and if i can bring a radiator or something down to temporarily hold the overheating at bay till it gets home. A long shot but might pay off. Just need it to hold till brisssie - binning the motor after that and dropping the GPR one in.
Although after 250 in fuel, 80 on permit, flights and food it will still be a good 500.
Worst case ill prepare for a 920 bill.
Still a good bargain after a heavy freight bill anyway

If it is overheating due to loss of coolant, put a large water tank with a pump on the passenger seat, hose out the window into the overflow bottle and keep pumping water in

Carways - 650 depot to depot or 740 door to door.

Opt for door to door .. Less hassle when you are not sure what condition the car is in.
