sydney mechanic

Post by Peache »

FTOs due for its first service since ive owned it and needs strut tops replaced (I have the new ones).

I dont really have any mechanics I know and trust. Anyone in sydney know how to treat my baby right, or have someone reliable to direct me to?

Not sure how i feel about just carting it off to an Ultratune or what not :/

Cheers

"Fineline automotive" in Botany. I worked there for a little while as an apprentice. They take care with things and the head mechanic is a bit of a genius.
I fix cars.

I think there is a thread in the NSW section on mechanics. Lists a few of them.

I use Ricol Automotive at Peakhurst.
There is Pulse at Menai which is close to me as well.

Ricol have built my Evo and always service my FTO. They specialise in Jap cars and engine conversions.

Some people on NS.com would complain Ricol were expensive but they would do a propper job and not shortcut. Some have complained about service and work performed by Pulse. End of the day do your research and go with your gut.. :)
I just had to add it ......

I would have offered but I'm a bit busy prepping for the mahoosive moove.

Can't suggest a mech as I have never used one.

You don't always have the head mechanic to work on your car .....

It's only him and his apprentice there. The apprentice usually does basic servicing with some other standard work while Mike takes care of the other stuff like clutches and things.
