And guys... hold tight.. it should arrive soon.
Also i didnt call up UAS and hassle them to send it to me.
If it comes this week it will still be quicker than a friends 2nd lot of Jun Cam wheels for his 700hp WRX..................the first lot were defect.......
Yes, i must say that i am stoked to have FINALLY received mine too! Makes a hell of a difference (at least i think so)! Did anyone have trouble removing the baffle from the standard airbox, located in the bumper? There's a stupid white washer water resevoir in the way, so i havent run the flexi-pipe yet. Cheers.
Coming soon....FTO on its guts... <IMG src="http://www.ftoaustralia.com/modules/htmlarea/images/em.icon.cool.png" align=absMiddle border=0>
Mates up to my Apexi pod perfectly, the elbow out of the throttle body was larger than standard, had to modify the battery clamp but this was half expected.
Any thoughts on how to best fit the snorkel?
I was planning on fitting it the same as the K&N 517i (?) kit for the FTO, just have to find an acceptable air scoop to bolt under the front bumper. Might have to pay a visit to Bunnings or Godfrey's to see what type of attachments they have...........
After experimenting with mine, I ended up trimming about 1.5" off the end that goes to the engine, it now fits well and isn't jammed up against the battery. Be careful however, as you don't want to stuff up when cutting it!
In terms of CAI ducting / snorkel, Autobarn sell flexible CAI piping for about $25 (around 1m long). If you remove the original airbox piping you can run two of these CAI feeds and increase the cold air getting to the filter. One can be feed through the hole left by the airbox piping, the other from near the radiator. You can use wire-ties to hold it all in place.

Is this the aleminium looking thick pipe, black in colour outside and silver inside. Also there is a cardboard looking material between inside and outside layers?
