Is that like a burnt bronze colour?
It's actually "Hyper", otherwise known as Shadow Chrome. When they were photographed they obviously had something brown/bronze reflecting off them. To look at them normally, they'd be more of a gun metal grey colour.

It will be a 17 inch wheel. The design will make it look bigger though because the spokes go to the edge of the wheel on the Avant Garde (well that's what they tell me ).
I would prefer the Avantek ones, because they are easier to clean. The more spokes there are, the harder they are to clean. I learnt that the hard way!!
i like the really dark grey colour... like the colour on the integra rims...
i like the avant grade... but the spokes dont look like they go onto the rim in any special way... like abit too plain there...
Not a big fan of either of them, to be honest. If I had to choose.....the first pic (Avant Garde), but not by much.
I do think you should think about that dark bronze colour or even gold, such as the rims from Ozzy Tyres Ozzy Racing Wheels. I was looking at either the OZR-032 or the OZR-068 in gold or gunmetal, and I have a silver car. However, there were issues with fitment, but I cannot recall which rims did/didn't fit the FTO.

I've actually tried on the Bronze version of the Avant Garde and I've seen it on a silver FTO IRL too. It looked ok but I don't think it's the look I'm going for. I want to drive a nice looking car all-round, not be driving a stand-out set of wheels with a car attached
I also tried on the new version of the Avant Garde wheel, they're lubberly and far more stylish but it has a rim rather than the spokes going all the way to the rim so with 17 inch wheels, they wouldn't look quite so big.
As for keeping them clean. I've learnt that lesson too. It's one of the reasons I'm going for a "simple" design. I've also learnt that "dustless" brake pads are worth their weight in gold
