Power steering/Air con Pulley
Hey guys, so after having my car for just 2 weeks, its now garage bound because the bottom Idler pulley pretty much fell off as i was driving last night, i was wondering if anyone has had to replace one of these before and is it a big job?
Also it looks like ill need a new one since it got all scratched to sh*t when it came off, and was wondering does anyone have one? or how much will it cost to pick one up.
If its unclear as to which pulley came off, when looking from the top of the engine bay, its the very bottom one, or on completefto.com, (37-100)
Cheers

Re: Power steering/Air con Pulley
Piece of piss mate. 14mm nut on the side of it, 14mm adjuster nut under it & you're done.
You can buy them new from places like http://www.amayama.com/, works out at about $115 landed, or wait for someone like dstocks who has a 2nd hand unit.

Re: Power steering/Air con Pulley
Does anyone know if you can just replace the bearing if the pulley is still in the confines of the engine bay and has not yet hit the bitumen

Thanks Bennoz
Do you know why there are 3 different sizes stated in the posts here for the Power steering / AC belt
so far i have 6PK1065, 6PK1070, 6PK1080
ANY IDEAS WHICH 1 IS THE RIGHT 1
As for the Alternator it is 4PK940 ???
Thats the only number i can find.
thanks in advance

Re: Power steering/Air con Pulley
6PK1080 & 4PK940 are correct.
You can fit belts that are slightly shorter, just adjust to suit. Hence the other numbers listed.

Re: Power steering/Air con Pulley
This FTO is like that kids movie "The Never Ending Story"
Ok got the belts and also tried to get replacement bearings but they are not a standard bearing
BSC bearings did happen to find a listing for a 6A12 Mivec with 1 in stock in Brisbane. they have ordered it in for me to see if it is the right one.
If it is the right one I will post the part # .
when I got home and had a closer look at the Power steering / AC pulley adjuster I noticed that the bolt is worn and there is no thread left on part of the bolt.
This may be the cause of all my problems.
Would anyone happen to have one or know where i can get one
