First it started to work sometimes and sometimes it didn't but now it has just completed stopped working.
I checked most of the fuses not sure what could cause it to stop working
the dial that i have is the one in this image

will be the unit for power my first set of dials had this problem, basically just a resistor

Yup, would be the inverter. You can buy them off eBay for a couple of dollars.
Just search for "EL Inverter"

Ahhh there so many on eBay could you link me one that would suit it and is there DIY anywhere regarding putting the inverter in? Since previous owner put in the el system so I don't know what I am doing.

Would you be able to find the EL inverter and take a photo of it?
Just take out the cluster and follow the wires.
To install it, it's just unplug the old one and plug in the new one.

The EL Inveter is the black square thing behind my aircond duct?

Have had 3 sets of them now so got new one with each set. But is simple replacement part as above will find on ebay or jaycar should stock something

Wish we had a jaycar over here in WA lol, i did a search on ebay but not sure which one suits our EL Dials, could you possibly link one for me sorry for the trouble there just so many of them don't know which one the right one
