Stalling/Idle

Post by dj_ules »

Hi i just replaced my starter motor with a brand new one this morning. it all was fine until i took it for a drive this afternoon, my car started stalling at idle, lights etc each time i would engage my clutch and hold it there it would drop down and then stall. Even on start up it revs up then down back up and then stalls.

Any body know how to fix this and what it could be ?

Thanks :)

Nope Aircon off, It seems to be idling fine now, its only doing it when driving it up and down my st. its really puzzling me because the car was running fine, all i did was disconnect the battery when i replaced my starter motor.

Some updated info, warm start up goes up to 2000rev the idles at around 5-700. When clutch engaged i let the revs drop till it goes to idle revs then just suddenly drops like a ton of bricks !!

When the battery is disconnected, the ECU is reset. So it has to learn how to idle. Take it for a good spirited drive.
