I think my car is haunted!! :\

Post by shadowarrior »

Seriously, I laughed at the thought as well at first...but some of the incidents happening are just too bizarre to be mere co-incidence.

First, the alarm. It goes off on it's own sometimes (at least 4 times a week). And when it does, it's always around 3pm. First I thought it was a cat/leaves/person x. But nope, I have parked it inside my locked garage without anything touching it or disturbing the car, and it would still go off around the exact same time. And this only happens when am not looking at the car. If I am looking at the car it won't sound.

Often when am talking about the car with the Mrs, it would chirp. Something like, "yeah I can hear you" kind of chirp. :| It kind of knows when am talking about it, or ignoring it by being busy with something else.

Then there's the music. Zillions of times, when am out on a drive and I have a mp3 disc on the player playing songs on random. I'll suddenly come across a really good song. And I would sing with it and say, that was an awesome song! Next minute, every song it randomly picks, are my favorite songs!! The disc has tons of song and many of them I don't like...burnt for the Mrs. But it kind of says, "oh you are having a good time? let me play you all your favorite songs!"

I have tried replacing the car's battery, disconnecting the battery... but I still have these versions of haunting. I think I have a 'Ghost in the Machine'..... 8O

My old Magna sedan, on the last week of it's life would change the radio station by itself, and everytime it did it was a sad song.
Scariest of which, the last song it played was Sinead O'Connor.

Not surprising. It killed itself after that.

My alarm used to go off @ 3pm too.
I worked it out to be the interior of the car heating up through the afternoon, the interior air expanded and forced against the passenger door just enough to cause the interior light to come on and set off the alarm.
I fixed it by adjusting the passenger door latch to hold the door closed a bit tighter.

Set up a video camera outside the car, make sure you can see the interior lights, when the alarm goes off see if your interior lights come on.

.....you may even record the next "Paranormal Activity" movie.....

Without going over all the posts have you checked the bonnet pin for the alarm at all?
As sometimes it may not push down all the way preventing the alarm to stay armed.
