How much camber do you run?

Well I've got coilovers now and some new rims/tyres and im just wondering what everyone else is running.

Specs to include:
Camber - Front & Rear
Rim and Tyre Size
Street/Track

Would be a great help

2.5 both front and rear ATM 1mm toe in rear and 1mm toe out front great handling but can tram (follow any changes in road) Tyre wear good still as cars are fairly light nice and responsive too

5mm toe out No....

1mm toe out is correct. You don't need any more on the track.

Also camber, you wouldn't want more than a couple of degrees either as you will start hurting acceleration and braking.

Try to toe it to zero, 1.5 deg neg camber all round.

Get to know your alignment guy then. Highly recommend Pete at Jaxx Blacktown. Happy to set whatever I want.

That's usually cause they don't really know what they're doing...

Everytime they set it to 0 on everything. And I have to argue with them to run -1 camber on the rear.

3 or 4 different places now.

You realise how much of a pita it is to change settings on the rear don't you lol!

And to set it to anything other than stock is an even bigger pita

So that's probably the reason

Its their job, and what we are paying them to do.
If they feel its not enough, then charge a bit more for the 'inconvenience' or stfu - its that simple

I'm not sympathising with them. But have you ever attempted to adjust the rear? The washer/offset bolt setup is a massive pita!

Unless you go to a specialist, wheel alignments are generally a fixed price, and not much at that. Would you be happy to pay $200-$300 for a wheel alignment for them to spend several hours on it, and also replace the offset washer/bolt setup with new ones that aren't stuffed?

Best bet if you want to be adjusting the rear is get a set of Megan Racing adjustable arms first. At least then it's relatively easy to do the actual adjustments.

I've actually watched them it did look like a bit of f**king around, but still. You see all these Silvias and skylines and sh*t with crazy camber and adjustments.

Yep, and I expect they are either setup easier to adjust, or are running aftermarket gear.

You'd be pushing the absolute limit to get 1 to 1.5 deg neg camber on the back of an FTO, especially if you want to run a little toe in as well, and that's with washer is perfect condition (which they won't be!). I even bought new washers for the racecar and realised very quickly that they were an adjust once option if you want to adjust them beyond stock, as the washers twist and deform, making readjustments impossible.

It really is a c**t of a setup
