Re: Vipfto's turbo project
no need, strange photo shows up cooler but when looking at in person is difficult to see through mesh must be some kind of optical illusion when looking at in the flesh.
Fairly happy with result thought not bad considering everything was done at home by myself except the up/down pipes. Still gotta tidy up vac lines put coil cover back on and strut brac etc but no hurry for that more important now is to get tuned so can drive it again, kinda hard to do everything I need to on bike

just get stuck into its actually rather easy to do just a bit of time, didnt have any real headaches but do know what im doing some fidly bits in there but once you start it just seems to keep flowing, do recommend you have a plan as to how you go about it though. I did all fuel upgrades first then pipe work followed by all oil lines etc the cooler piping

Re: Vipfto's turbo project
well after bit of f**king round this morning chasing why had low boost and have put it down to couple of things, the actuator was still bit sticky and all the crap from down pipe and up pipes not having flushed through from very little running creating too much back pressure. A while ago got another box put on exhaust to quiet it down a little so will remove that this week and will reliev a lot more pressure and make more flowing. It has made the exhaust sound so different with turbo though much much quieter
Then had to get fuel and hit the 7psi mark I wanted and f**k me does it make it take off (only tried in second gear) its incredible how much a few psi can make such more torque. Still havent run through rev range yet as most important thing is tune. As i thought she spools up round the 2.5k mark and was still boosting well till 5.5k where im reluctant to go past ATM. Then the nice little pshhh from BOV gives me a little sex wee.....
Now paranoid bout cooler being crooked so will figure how to sort that out while waiting for tune lol
