DBA Discs - Slotted vs Cross drilled & slotted
Which one's are better? Is there any genuine advantage (or disadvantage) with the cross drilled? Are they worth the extra money?

HI shaun,
ive had both so far and i can say i think Slotted is better value and has better reliablilty. i wouldnt go buy Slotted drilled again, as they tend to warp and crack after a year or so. And depending on your brake pad compound, ud wouldnt want too much heat dissapation... Unless you were racing or something

dont bother with cross drilled, its purely show...
grab some slotted discs and some racebrake pads and dont worry about never stopping quick enough
though seriously, with your 17" rims id wait for uas's kit(if they ever get it completed) purely for the increased size of the rotor and hence slightly better cooling etc(for minimal cost one would assume)

Got the DBA Gold (slotted/cross drilled) I believe they have the kangaroos paws design.
Good points, brakes better then standard GPX disc at high speed, not much different at low.
Bad points, dam bloody noisy, & lots of brake dust due to my combination of the brake pads (endless)
In 2yrs they are on, I haven't had a problem with cracking & warp yet. They are design for street use, so if you want something for track, don't get the DBA gold, or else i'm sure it will crack & warp like the other said.
