When I was looking for an FTO, most of the ones i saw leaked. I think like Steve said it probably could be the viscosity of the oil used.

For me, it's not actually leaks as such, but more like slow seepage. Not dripping-type leakage. But all the FAQs I've read on FTOs, this must be one of the most common issue.
From FTO to EVO......

actually what i think happens is that becuase the FTO engines run so hot they degrade the CAM gaskets which eventually start to leak...

its no biggy and is just something to do when your either feeling rich or doing a major service...

Smorrison. Sorry to see that you crashed your car BTW. have you found a good repairer? my brother has a business in Lansvale and he does mainly imports.

Anyway back to the topic. I guess Rocker Cover leaks arent major at all. Usually a good tightening up or replacing gaskets should do it.

But damn I am scared of the dreaded head gasket leak 8O

hahah dont fall for steve's exhaturation..all he did was flatten his front tyre and get awful dirty
no body or suspension damage(apart from requiring an allignment i believe)

just a testament to how safe the track days really are...come off at 100k/hr on most roads and try and avoid ANY body work damage

minh i've got bugger all damage as adam pointed out... only bodywork damage was ive bent a small bit of hte plastic from teh front bar but this will go back into place with a heat gun...

my front bar has had a hard life so i'm not really too worried about it... its the kind of thing if i ever replace it i'll keep this one for track use ;)
