96 GPX cant change gear automticly

Hello, everyone, I am Jimmy, Sidds is my friend and he introduced me to this amzing place.

My FTO is 96 GPX, it two problems,

First one, it cant change gear automaticly, but when I change it to manual model, it works well. And the TCL light keeps flishing.

Second one, It always makes noise when I just start the engine or open the aircon under around 25 degree. The noise sounds like from a fan, always tik tik tik tik continue around 1 min, then it will stop.

I need your guys help. thank you so much.

sounds like limp mode. do a search on the forums PLENTY of threads to be read

does it make the noise when the aircon is turned on at any time? or just at startup?

gearbox sensor unplugged? all fuses are fine?

also thats the cogwheel that controls the vents. motor is located behind the glovebox. have a look down there while its ticking and see which motor it is.

Good to see you here Jimmy.
I forgot to check if the N light is flashing or not that other day. Search around the forums for 'limp mode' and check if the symptoms match with yours. Else Matt's (silvergpx) take about the gearbox sensor could be at fault.

Contact Dwayne (dstocks) for your cracked centre console surround.

Matt, I think Rick and Joes told him a part near the throttle body intake was busted, hence the gear shifting issue.

i guess you bought the fto that was on gumtree and it was silver?
