Aftermarket rev counters
Does anyone have them set up in their cars?
Im thinking of putting one in as my rev counter is bust so was looking at a small one I can put on the side of my dash. Take note of the word small, I dont want one of those dinner plate sized things.
Anyways so the actual question is do they work OK or any good brands? I have heard they can get weird on V6 cars. I dont mind if its not exact but close enough to give me an idea of where I am in the range.

Re: Aftermarket rev counters
Your rev counter might not be working because your Ignition Failure Sensor could be broken. Imagine having two tachos that don't work.

LED ALL the things.

the end of the needle pin actually snaps off, find some new needles with the whole length and try it

5 speed auto, so its not easy to find.
The actual instrument is damaged internally, wish it were as easy as a snapped needle.
Sorry Tech, forgot about my post so maybe too late?

Re: Aftermarket rev counters
you could rip apart a 4spd and 5spd, make a hybrid.
Much like changing the dials.
Only parts from your 5spd you'd need are the auto icons, mileage count, the rest could be taken from the 4spd.
Use the 5spds housing.
