fto suspension knocks and rattles driving me mad ?

the car is on the road since the weekend and bt by bit want it 100% so the suspension is next. every bump and hole in the road shakes the car to bits.

I have replaced the drop links on both sides so that stopped some of the rattles but its still bad. Sounds like top mounts are rattling about. What main bushes need to be done or anyone recommend a good suspension place that could take a look over the car?

Have you got coilovers on the car. If so, thatll do it. The really hard ride makes everything rattle more. Soften the rise and quite a few of those rattles will go. Strut tops will clunk if they are going (part is shared with a lancer, so not too dear). Window rattles can be fixed by replacing the window guides (about $20 part from memory). If your engine mounts are gone, they will cause a rattle as well. I find the brake calipers also rattle a lot when going over rough roads. Not sure what to do to tighten those up though.

appreciate the reply thanks for that, the car is on stock suspension looks like a jeep its so high ha. I have done the rear engine mount as i was told it needed it and the drop links replaced for the car to pass the blue slip. Is there any common bushings or other links that go. It actually reminds me of my toyota levin with the superstrut suspension rattles and knocks ha.

i need to find me a good mechanic in sydney who knows fto's inside out and is free weekends to diagnose my problems.

Im going to say front sway bar bushes

And yeah if you havent had the strut mounts replaced then its probably time to get them replaced and might as well do the stuts at the same time.
