Hey guys,
I'm new to the site and just got my hands on a Gpx, and i love it to bits.
I'm a little curious on when the timing belt is needed to be replaced. Does anyone have an idea??
The car has around 189,000 k's on it.
Thanks, Sam.

Re: FTO Timing Belt.
Should be changed either every 100,000 kms or every 5 years
If in doubt, change it for piece of mind

It would be good to change it out as soon as you can just to be safe. It's not that far off 200'000K service any way.
Just remember to get the water pump, pulleys, belts and so on done as well.

Re: FTO Timing Belt.
My original water pump lasted just under 2 timing belts. Tensioners were fine after 200k (I reckon they could have gone another 50k) and all seals on mine are still original and no leaks.
Only leak I've had is spark plug tube seal leaks which is no bad!
