Re: The mighty Mini
No-one has that much download.
Bennoz, what are the tech specs on the Mini.
Which engine, carbs, etc.
No details, need moar!
Meanwhile, guy 5 houses down has a little blue number with white stripes running over the top, I assume its an 80s model given the interior.
Not a bad bit of kit.

Re: The mighty Mini
Its a 69 Mk I Cooper S.
Was the 1275cc solid block, bored as far as it will go (offset bored no 1 & 4 outward so we didn't go through the cylinder walls lol) to 74mm (1.4L) with 74mm Omega pistons. 45mm side draught Weber carb, big bore LCB style extractors & 2" exhaust (straight through lol)
She runs 11:1 compression, the biggest valves we could fit in (from a Toyota lol) with huge porting work, Kent 296 rally cam, 1.5:1 ratio alloy roller rockers, vernier double row timing chain, central oil pickup, 4 speed full syncro box with semi straight cut final drive & cam & pawl style LSD. Hardy spicer type drive shaft joints & 7.5" Moke brakes with braided lines.
On the inside, its restored original, new carpets, seats & panels, except the drivers seat, which is a fibreglass Marsh race seat with 4 point harness. Also has a 4 point Bond roll cage (padded for legality reasons) and I kept / restore all the old English Smiths analogue instrumentation.
The list is a whole lot longer to go on here though Makes about 130hp at the flywheel, more with the nos on

Re: The mighty Mini
That's a sweet setup, would love to hear what it sounds like.
Always liked the minis, always wanted the clubman personally, but so few and far between unless you spend the cash. Much like a good VW Bug meanwhile...

Re: The mighty Mini
Looks very clean, have you done anything to it suspension and brakes wise? They are meant to handle well stock from what I hear.

Re: The mighty Mini
Front suspension is all old Jag running gear, camber & castor adjustable arms, with the subframe being converted to rubber cone with Hi-lo adjustables from the old hydrospastics. Also has Spax adjustable shocks & poly bushes. Also has Kmac rear sway bar & camber adjustment plates on the rear. Brakes are the bigger 7.5" off the Mokes on the front, has the finned drums on the rear & and an aftermarket brake booster unit
