Re: FTO Number Two...
The sister took it out without permission, slammed the door, and fucked the window... Will be fixed on Sunday at the DIY day, hopefully!
Also took a few yummy pictures for you all to see. (:

Re: FTO Number Two...
THE AUDIO INSTALLATION:
Removed the rear seats...Easy sh*t and $3 profit

Removed the parcel shelf cover and cut all the bullshit plastic from the inside of the speaker enclosures!!

Took out the old "AddZest" speakers... What a load of sh*t they were! Please note the epic corrosion around the edged, there's nothing left

Installed a set of new Kicker 6X9 speakers...Much better!

Replaced this epic lump of sh*t AddZest head unit...

...With this Sony Xplod

...That's all folks!

Re: FTO Number Two...
Also, any ideas on what I should put in that empty gap in my dashboard now I've converted to a single din head unit?

Re: FTO Number Two...
The UV coming through the rear window did that to the speakers.
I'd suggest a tint to stop that happening to the next set. Also, i'd bet the top of your rear seat is faded too.

I just paid $100 to have the rear tint removed as it was bubbled so bad I couldn't see out the rear windowShhtuart wrote:The UV coming through the rear window did that to the speakers.

Both cars will be tinted around xmas time or whenever I get a decent cash influx!

Re: FTO Number Two...
Im guessing so the speakers fit. The seem to sit a lot higher than the stock ones, so the plastic probably has to g so they fit.

Re: FTO Number Two...
Actually now i think about it the blue fto had them as well. My GPR has different restraints, not those big ugly brackets. Dont have to make holes for brackets or nothing. Was complied in 2007 might be why.
