i can say without doubt these things are all hype and nothing else.

What happens when at high speed, when great amounts of air are necessary? I can guarantee the FTO would suck more air than the charger would provide at high speeds, and become more of a bottleneck?

The E-ram ones are but the Thomas night ones would work.

Because it is an actual supercharger run by three electric motors. You can also use any supercharger with them, for example you can adapt an eaton supercharger to run of it.

eRAM only come on at Wide Open Throttle, and the websites claimed that eRAM produces 1000 CFM.
2.5 litre engine at 6000 RPM sucks in around 265 CFM of air.

Anything producing this kind of airflow would need centrifugal type fan. either barckward curved or mixed flow centrifugal.
These type of fans work the best under load. ie the fan uses more power for the same airflow if it not restricted.
also if it flows 1000cfm this would normally be given as a free air reading.

In my opinion the e-ram units are crap, cause I've played around with this idea for a while, but these thomas units may be the go.

agree'd but the questions should be asked -even though i'm pretty sure of the answers already..

Teh thomas ones look interesting i'm going to do some more research on them as i get time... mainly around the alternator and what its likely to cost as an additional setup item...
