cleaning engine bay
I'm wanting to clean my engine bay use degreaser all that jazz anyway other than the pod anything I should cover to stop water getting to it

Avoid the alternator and put a plastic bag over your alarm. In fact, might wanna cover up the alternator too just to be safe.

I cover anything which has any sign of an electrical connection with plastic. I also disconnect my battery to be safe. Some of those tricky areas behind wires and connectors, I just use a wet tooth brush for that.
Also remember, after you spray the degreaser...leave it for 5mins before bringing the hose in.
