Changing Over Horns
I now have some proper horns (cheers, Taz) and was wondering whats the easiest way to install them? I know that they are behind the foglights, but is it possible to swap over my new ones without taking the front bar off?
Also, do they simply just connect up with the two clips for each? As in, is it as simple as it looks?
Cheers.

Yes, they do just 'plug' in - that part i know is simple, however its getting to them - the only way i know is to take off the fender or front bar.
if you can take your wheel off and splash guard you will probably be able to reach up and unbolt the other horn/bolt the new one in - probably the easiest way.

Re: Changing Over Horns
If you can see the wires running through the engine bay, just cut them and mount the new horns on the chassis rail inbetween the gearbox and the radiator, thats where mine are, but I have a pre-facelift.

Mines pre-facelift too. Wouldnt trust myself with re-wiring etc. Think I'll just take my wheel offPHIL069 wrote:If you can see the wires running through the engine bay, just cut them and mount the new horns on the chassis rail inbetween the gearbox and the radiator, thats where mine are, but I have a pre-facelift.

Just take the wheel off, and the inner plastic guard if you have it and youll have full access to the old one, may be a little touchy feely though (dont be a pussy by mounting it in another location)

Yep will do. Im just gonna put them in the same spot. Im not too keen on fiddling around with cutting/moving wires and crap.silverGPX wrote:Just take the wheel off, and the inner plastic guard if you have it and youll have full access to the old one, may be a little touchy feely though (dont be a pussy by mounting it in another location)

Re: Changing Over Horns
The horns in my car were just behind the head light (facelift model). So took front bar off, took head light off, clip the new ones in.
Swapped my pair of Stebel Nautilus the other day from my bike to check how loud it sounds on the car.
Was awesome, but I need that horn on my bike more...so put them back
