Oh your heaps young dude haha!
Well its good to know what you're after!!
All the best with your search. Check out Harry90's FTO.
It has 1yr rego with 107xxx k's going for $4500.
Its a great investment if u want a FTO and have money saved already.

Nonetheless - as good car as any to go on a 700km trip from NSW to QLD ahah.
Its either an FTO or nothing!

Hey dude WTTC!
Second what most people have said in previous posts, but personally would advise against an FTO manual mivec as a first car, but thats just me looks like your set on it so just make sure you dont go over the top, as learning to drive a car is usually a pretty steep learning curve for most.
My advice is to get a solid platform to start on (most of the time this is a bone stock fto with few previous owners however there are some good slightly modified fto's out there)- usually you have to pay a bit extra for these ones but they are well worth it in the end. You will probably have to drive interstate or a fair way to get an fto in good nic for a good price (might get lucky though) but the drive back in it will be good to learn the car and plane tickets are peanuts these days for a small domestic one way fare, and fuel will not be much, FTO's are capable of 800+ if driven right on the highway.
Take care of your car and dont neglect it and more importantly have fun!

Re: New guy here....
Patience is key. It can be exciting as ive said to other people but if you dive in to one with problems then you'll regret it later. Get what you want the first time and you'll be happy. Theres nothing more of a bitch than buying a car then realising it needs $$ into it and weeks (or months) worth of work to get it to how you want it.Chuckasaurus wrote:still searching.... frustrating as f**k

I had been searching since about July last year for mine, I found it in March this year, and took it for a test drive, but someone else bought it
Then at the end of April it was back up for sale again, I bought it the next day

Re: New guy here....
FTO is my first car too
And hell yeah it's a manual. Manual is where all the fun is...plus the correct way of learning how to drive. Also imo FTO is the best car to learn driving. It is very sensitive to what you do, so you will know when you make a mistake and rectify it. (Yeah technically am on my car L's still, but hold a full motorbike license for 13 years
)
I never liked cars..and the Pajero plus the other cars my mrs or my family owned never interested me. I noticed the Pajero used to forgive me for my mistakes; leaving clutch early etc...the FTO slaps me and points out my mistake
Have to admit...I have fallen in love with my FTO and am sure you will have some awesome time with your FTO as well.
