Looking at those 2 diffs, I think that would be the least of your problems if you were looking to interchange them.

Speedo will work. Aftermarket ring gears are always narrow like that one on the right. Its the gear pitch (angle) that matters, not the width of the gear.

The one on the left looks like it has a bigger bearing than the one on the right?
Hard to tell from the picture but it doesn't look like they have the same dimensions?

Diff differences

Post by ZFL45H1 »

Ok this is the story the one on the right is the original 25 spline LSD diff out of my Fto and one day it completely sheered off the bearing the one at the top of the photo and the one on the left is a standard diff off bennoz and it's a 27 spline and I have a 27 spline LSD diff but bennoz thinks its a cusco and I hate the clunking now hahaha this one was front my wreaking Fto hope u can understand that little complicated
Cheers

How come there is a 25 and 27 spline diff, do you know what cars came with what?

I have a cusco LSD and I agree it certainly does have it's disadvantages, but at the same time it has some great advantages

FTOs came with a mix of both 25 & 27 splines & we haven't been able to pin point why. Its a mix cross all makes & models.
