Gear clunk?

Hey guys I have an auto & was after some advice about it clunking into gears. I'll be cruising along then all of a sudden it'll drop back to 3rd with quite a 'clunk'. I'll switch it over to triptonic but it will only swap from 2nd to 3rd. The neutral light also starts flashing? It doesn't happen too often but when it does I tend to pull over, turn the car off then start it up again which seems to work most times..

That's called 'limp mode' - check your error codes & we can go from there.
