Brake & Reverse Light Globes?

Post by Daniel2019 »

Got a couple lights out - one brake light, one reverse light. Went through the CAPS resource but they only had part numbers for the actual light casings, not globes..

Anyone know sizes/part numbers etc? Cheers

Who says the engine rebuild is going any better

My local store has most replacement parts like air filters, globes etc. out the back behind the counter so I cant compare them. I dont trust them there, either. Last time I asked for a K&N Panel replacement filter and he came back out with a stock air filter :facepalm2:

The reverse light is a single filament bulb and brake lights are dual filament globes commonly referred to as a stop/tail globe. Both have clear glass however u can get stop/tails with a red tint for a pinkish looking glow.

They both also have bayonet fitting and are the most common used on cars.

For correct glow in all lights id reccommend buying all globes at the same time. Saves u having to rip the taillights out again when the older ones blow.

I have a metal FTO piece that fits into the top brake light, so when the brake lights up it says FTO :cheeky:

Reverse - P21W (Parallel)

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-Clear-BA ... 3f133e8e85

Brake - P21/5w (Dual element staggered pins)

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OSRAM-P21-5W ... 484430c776

And by staggered pins I mean the pins sit diagonally and aren't level. Whe you pull the old ones out you'll see.
