Speedometer not moving smoothly

Post by Vectose »

This only started happening a few days ago.

The speedometer moves at increments of about 2-3km/h while speeding up and slowing down.

Would a faulty speed sensor cause this?

No error codes either.

Could be the sender, its a direct geared drive off the diff.

Could also be the gauge itself I spose... hard to say.

Got plenty of spare senders here if you want to test.

Cheers mate, just need to figure out what the best way to get the sender off of you is.

The next time I will be down in Sydney is for the DIY day.

Looks like I'll be up at Mannering Park early next week. Will confirm by tomorrow...

Well the problem seems to have disappeared after not driving the car for two days.

So this has happened a couple of more times on trips to Sydney, it starts on the way back and disappears after not driving for a day or two.
