Engine Stand
Need an engine stand. Found one at SCA on special - http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online ... escription
Anyone used them before or know if this is suitable to store and engine indefinitely, fit in an FTO and be able to load an engine onto a ute? If not, what can?

You would want an engine crane... not stand.Daniel2019 wrote:Need an engine stand. Found one at SCA on special - http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online ... escription

Re: Engine Stand
My spare 52 was on a stand for years, had no issues with it going back into the car after prolonged time.
Have my spare 63 on it currently.
But yeah, crane to lift into ute.
Stand to hold the engine to work on it.

I've changed heaps of engines but I cannot see how you would lift the engine out of the FTO? More likely drop it?

Re: Engine Stand
If you had a hoist you would drop it. But comes out the top easy also. Though I'd remove the bonnet (which I'd do on any car any way).

Gotta angle the motor high at the timing belt end. Easy do-able.payaya wrote:Ah ok!
