Even the new models cop it. One thing I hate about Mitsubishi they don't fix issues with a new model once released. Lifter noise has been more than apparent on Mitsubishis for decades now. Guess what? My neighbour has a new model lancer and it ticks. Reason? The rocker/lifter set up if the same as the 6a12. Should see the late model magnas come into my workshop, they definately show their age mechanically more than most other cars. The 6a12 seems to cope well though!
