Depends on the width and the offset. Quite a few people here are running 18s.
LED ALL the things.

Running 18s x 8" wide rims with 215/35 tires.. not sure what's the offset value though'
Bet it'll starts to scrub if putting on 225/235 wide tires upon full-lock.

considering I have 19" rims which do not scrub at all, it is definitely possible to fit 18" rims. Just make sure that they dont have crazy offset

Re: Would 18" rims fit on the Fto?
I had 18x8 +35 running 225/35/R18 rubber. No scrubbing at all, but with a +35 offset the wheels aren't very flush and won't give you a particularly tough look if that is what you're after.
Although I loved the look, if I had my time again I would have stayed with 17's for a higher profile tyre rather than having to stuff around with guard work to fit a larger profile on 18's. 35 profile is a step backwards in terms of handling performance as far as I am concerned. Sure you might get a nice improvement to initial turn in due to smaller sidewall, I found the ride became much less compliant and when pushed the tyres wouldnt handle as well.

Yes... You can run into fitment problems no matter what diameter, you need to get the right offset/width
