my first two runs where sh*t. I was out having fun but was not pushing it, as there was no one on the track that I wanted to try and beet.
the one I would have liked to see was my 3rd run but I had the camera on Ben's car. I was chacing down a Mazda RX8, he had a 1/2 lap on me with about 5 laps to go. I almost had him only needed 2 more laps and I think I would have gone past him.

Sorry guys, been a bit busy with work, haven't had a chance to look at videos yet.

I did find out what went wrong though, broke an axle! Is this common for the FTO's? I wouldn't think so... Looks like just unlucky...

Now I need to find a new driveshaft and get the broken bit out of the diff...

Hopefully this will all be done in time for Wakefield Park in August

Where you able to punch out the other half or did you take the box all the way out?

Haven't got that far yet, hopefully I can just punch it out from the other side.

Do you know if this is possible with the Cusco diff?

Yeah you can. Just pull the other sides driveshaft out & pop a long punch bar in there & knock the busted section out

Got the sucker out

The cusco had a hole about 12mm diameter through the middle, so was able to pop it out pretty easy from the other side. Getting the replacement in was a pita! Didn't want to go over the snap ring, but got it eventually. So now just gotta put some oil back in the gearbox and test it next Sat.

But looking good for Wakefield in August

Shane, how many courses does EC have? have you got a timing for North Circuit?

Not yet no. The separate circuits are only new this year. Looking forward to the extended full circuit once it's finished later this year!
