Yesterday my MIVEC FTO GPX 1995 (paid $8990 at a car dealership) finally came off the truck and into my possession and I have noticed that when indicating left it seems to be a bit dodgy. Like while locking in the stalk upwards in the indicating left position sometimes the in dash indicating light does not come on, and neither do any indicators whatsoever but will make the clicking sound really fast. But when I use my hazard lights it behaves normally, at a normal rate and all indicators work. When using my central locking system, locking and unlocking the car, only the right side indicators work and none on the left hand side work whatsoever... I'm not really sure as I am new to FTO's, but is it safe to narrow it down to either dodgy wiring/interference, the bulbs need replacing or the stalk isn't working correctly. If anybody can help it would be gladly appreciated.
Kind of sounds like your indicator stalk is the fault.
If ALL hazards work, and central locking/ immobiliser flashes all lights, then I simply believe it's the upper half of the indicator stalk has broken a tab.
Yeah I was gonna go get some new bulbs tomorrow to see if that will fix it. Also not all lights work when pressing the central locking only the whole right side does and none on the left side. Thanks for replying so fast.
But if your hazards all work, then your bulbs are fine.
From memory, I may be incorrect, but some immobilisers do not function from the hazard trigger, but in fact the left and right according wires to the indicator circuits.
So from that I'd say it's your indicator arm.
The indicators wont work at all if your hazard button is disconnected, but the hazrds will work if there's no indicator arm present! (atleast that's how Magnas, Sigmas and RVR's are wired.)

My indicator stalk is playing up as well, turning right. If I move the handle to right gently it just makes a very fast clicking sound with no lights. If I snap it into position with a swift movement my right indicators work properly. It's a hassle if they won't engaged entering a roundabout. I have to keep puting it on and off until it works (must replace one day )

Well, first thing you can try as suggested by VIP is the relay.
I believe there is another identical relay being used for something else, swap them around. sorry, not under an FTOs hood much, so cant remember which, someone else may have better insight.
If no joy from the relay, I'd definitely venture your indicator arm is at fault.
Easiest check, is remove steering wheel and inspect the arms 'engage' contacts.
From a guess you don't have an airbag...?
Yeah I don't have any airbags... I shall try to eliminate this problem tomorrow. So I'll change bulbs and fuses, check relay and the stalk itself. Hopefully get this all sorted tomorrow >.<
